Are you going on holiday this year but worried about stepping out on the beach in your bikini? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Here are five stress free tips that’ll help you shape up in time for summer.
Hit the gym
Getting that well-toned body requires some physical activity (even though we wish it didn’t), so why not hit the gym? Go for a run on the tread mill; work up a sweat on the cross trainer; or give the rowing machine a go. You could even book into an aerobics class, try your hand at Zumba or see what Pilates is all about – so don’t make excuses. Liposuction surgery can remove fat in difficult places, but a decent exercise regime could do the trick – naturally.
Make the most of the great outdoors
If you hate the gym, make the most of the great outdoors. Enjoy a relaxing bike ride through the country, take the family on a weekend hike or treat the kids to a fun-filled outing. Keeping active will help you burn calories and should take your mind off food. Shaping up should be fun, so pack your life full of adventure and get fit in style.
Improve your diet
There are many ways to look beautiful this summer, but a well-balanced diet can help. Eat three nutritious meals at regular intervals throughout the day and chomp on wholemeal bread, vegetable sticks or cans of soup if you feel peckish (as these will keep your energy levels up). Many people think avoiding carbohydrates is the best way to diet, but your body needs a range of nutrients, so don’t cut out an entire food group altogether.
Use visual stimuli
Heading to a luxurious place this summer? Then put a picture on your fridge for inspiration. Imagine walking along an exotic beach in a brand new bikini and stop yourself from overeating. We all need a little encouragement from time-to-time, so make the most of visual stimuli. It’s also a good idea to put a calendar in an obvious place, so you can see how long you’ve got before you leave. Seeing the days fly by could spring you into action and keep you motivated.
Pamper yourself
Take good care of yourself and feel beautiful in time for summer. Follow a healthy eating plan and enjoy regular exercise – but make sure you pamper and preen. A little relaxation’s good for the soul, so enjoy a massage at a beauty parlour or course of Botox with a reputable company. Many clinics offer skin rejuvenation treatments too and will help you look and feel great in no time! Take the time to unwind and look as good as you can.
Preparing for summer doesn’t have to be a stressful process, so make sure you feel great and enjoy the sun.

nice tips….but my problem is keeping up. been doing some dieting and excercise for quite sometime but to no avail 🙁
Oh, really? Maybe it is your body saying that you are already perfect the way you are. 😀
I think it is so difficult to get the beach body at my size and age now… But, yes, we should start off with exercising and improving our diet.
Daanin na lng natin sa confidence!
Ha ha love that-daanin sa confidence. I say that a lot too plus “sa face na lang”lol. Seriously, it is hard to lose weight especially if you are getting older na. It is my project too. Balik alindog project as what other mommies in the blogosphere call it
OO naman, Sometimes having a great body does not matter when you are not confident of what you are wearing.
Yes it’s that time of year when we’re all gearing up for the summer. Diet and exercise plus consistency and hopefully I lose 10 lbs by April. 🙂
So love the last one.. I need to pamper myself…It’s a holiday on Monday, so….there is a little time.
I read the holiday is for the students only 🙁
I like the last one. haha.. Relax! 🙂 I totally forgot to pamper myself. 🙁
We all should!
Kudos to your graphics!=) Love the post—-pampagood vibes=)
Thanks, Leslie! I am practicing. might come in handy when I revamp my blog. 😀
At this time, I’m not thinking yet about the beach. February na may bagyo pa rin? Times are really changing. But the ideas about preparing for summer are great.
I need these kind of posts in my life. I’m trying to lose weight but I can’t seem to avoid sweets. Welp. Orz.
Oh, me, too! I’ve got a sweet tooth. 😀
Thanks for sharing! I super want to hit the gym but i dont have a time.. however, i start exercising here at home
At least you still exercise, aby!
I wish I can hit the gym but my baby is too young.Maybe when she is 3 or 4 na. Its difficult to plan and get around with old routines pag may baby.
I heard breastfeeding helps mommies lose weight. 😀
I’ll be stepping on sand with blue toes. Love the post and the photos. I already eat less sugar since I am a diabetic. Should be adjusting the quantity as well.
Thanks! I love doing the graphics. I might do them on a regular basis now.:D
Thanks for the tips! I’m also preparing now for a great summer vacation as I would be in the Philippines by that time. I’m thinking of planning some simple family activities na din as we only get to be together once in a while.
nice tips sis, but i should have the motivation to for me to succeed in losing weight, anyway, for some reasons i am losing weight and I guess I stick to my recent weight I’ll just try my best to maintain it, not a perfect beach body yet but the boyfriend like it that way..:-)
Nice collaboration. Ganda ng resulting post 🙂
Nice tips and you did great with the graphics! Love it!
Nothing beats exercise + diet to get the body-to-die-for!
I love the photos that you edited! I am trying to diet now, but I think as I get older, I don’t shrink as quickly as before. I really need to exercise. *sigh*
“Just relax”… oh how I wish it’s that easy. Hehehe! Naku I undergo body weight testing a few days ago, and I’m UNDERWEIGHT. As in, below average ang mineral, water etc. Protein lang pasado sa test hahaha!
Oh, really? Gaining weight is so easy for me.
Great tips. Indeed being active while eating a balance diet is one of the most effective ways.
Gotta put this in mind. I want to still be in shape this summer. I don;t want to gain more weight.
Excellent tips. Before you know it Spring will be here… TY! 🙂

These are great tips sis. I am actually doing healthy diet now and hopefully follows with cardio exercise even just 30 minutes a day. Though I am not aiming that beach body figure. Just to lose some pounds and be healthy.

Wow it’s summer already? How time flies! LOL For summer, I’d really love to hit the beach or hie off to the province. I hope we can do it again this year. But I’m leaning toward staying nearby and do some house renovation instead. 😀
Weeeeee! I’m so excited for summer too and so is the whole family. We’re now in the process of planning for a nice beach to go to here in Cebu but I guess it would be more exciting for me to wear something exciting too like a swimsuit perhaps. haha! But it’d be more nice if no extra bulges would show. Got to follow our tips for that. Thanks! 🙂
Nice. Cebu… I love Bantayan. Would love to explore more like malapascua and camotes.
i am actually excited for the coming summer. It will be my first experience to ride plane and ferry.
Nice. Have a memorable trip.
next time I’ll hit the beach I make sure to wear pink on my toes..
My 3rd try. Not sure if the comment I made this afternoon pumasok or nag error super hina ng tattoo kasi.. 🙂
No other comments from u toda. Although, there was a comment yesterday
diet and exercise will defintely work.
Your photos and graphics were great . At my age being sexy is not my main concern when I go to the beach. You are suppose to relax and unwind, not mind anybody’s stares and sizing up on you. Besides sexiness starts with the mind. It is an attitude and once you feel good about yourself nobody can dampen your spirits, weather you are sexy or not.
Thanks for sharing those tips. Perfect for preparing their bodies this summer.
Looks like it’s too late to get buffed now…summer is almost here hehehe. But it never hurts to start and stick with that fitness regimen. 🙂
Fitness is you, Aileen. Keep it up!
Wow, very nice post! Thanks for the tips! I love the one that says “Pamper yourself.” It always helps to get away from stress when you pamper yourself. It wouldn’t hurt too to get some pampering from time to time, think of it as a reward for yourself. Once you feel rewarded, you feel happy and you get inspired to do other things like getting yourself fit! Nice one! I like all the suggestions, and the pictures too! 🙂
hahaha…time to shape up! its the season to hit beaches
great tips
I love this post! I’m hitting the beach soon, I hope it’s not too late to start shaping up using this as a guideline.
Thanks for these tips, Kat! Your graphics are great. BTW, is it true that diet is more important than exercise?
i always believe both are necessary. btw, i have recently heard of Mediterranean diet and it looks yummy.
very refreshing thoughts. I can do that! 🙂
What’s actually stressful right now is the heat! Grabe init sa Manila…then just as those words were out of my mouth, it would rain unexpectedly wherever you are. I wish I could go to the beach…or better yet, sa Baguio where it’s colder
it is difficult to have a great beach body since it requires a lot of workout and dieting. ^
