I have always been a chubby kid.
My mother admitted to me once that she did not like having a thin kid. She feared someone might think she was not feeding me well. being chubby was okay with me but all the pinching I got for my chubbiness did not bode on me well so I told my mother that I would lessen my milk intake. At that time, I was drinking milk like water. Β The diet I imposed on myself worked. I grew and lost the weight.
Thankfully, I was never too thin nor too fat growing up. I have always maintained a healthy weight… until last year. Based on the food posts I did last year, you know I enjoy eating so much. I only posted what I made. Some of the stuff I ate are on Facebook. HA! As a saying goes, “Once on the lips, forever on the hips.” I managed to break the overweight mark. It alarmed me that I went to check my cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Thankfully, they are at a normal range. My conclusion: I am simply fat.
Even before the New Year, I already started exercising through Zumba. Β Thanks to Zalora I got new rubber shoes on sale. I use these for exercising.
I have not adjusted my diet yet but I am inspired by what Erwan Heusaff did. Check out this video.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqE8MvwOrDQ]How about you? What are plans to stay healthy this year?
I was fatter than you when I was a kid hehe, so I know how it feels. I was even bullied in fifth grade. Anyway, like you, I’m also planning to make it a healthier year for me. I can’t fully exercise yet, but I’m starting by counting my calorie intake. I’ve got a looooong way to go!
I used to frequent Erwan’s blog but it’s the first time I’ve seen that vid. Galing! Although I’ve always liked the vids he put together. Good tips din, sana my green smoothies really signal a good start for me π
I usually just go with flow, maybe eat more vegetables and fruit and exercise, So far hindi naman na attain and drink more juices and water instead of soda. I’m glad that your taking steps already and I know you can do it..:)

Nice video and nice graphics. Yes, sugar is the enemy! π (I love chocolates!) π
Wish I could start working out, too. Plano ako nang plano, pero di ko pa rin magawa, haha. Time management. π
Oh, may I just say that I love your rubber shoes! I recently purchased a pair of rubber shoes for my hubby from Zalora, too and I like it also. Maybe, I should get one for myself na rin, para mainspire ako magstart magwork out. π
I am with you sister lol. I have grown into unimaginable proportions in 3 weeks of holiday vacay! I have been a fat kid too, and that fat came back after my kids, and no matter how much circuit training and yoga I do, waley! everything I eat ends in my hips (and belly hihi)
Getting ready for the Binondo food trip? hahahah Kitakits!
Thin or not, lezz do Binondo! See you!!! Excited!
It’s time for me to do the Zumba na jud, because I’m sure taas na kaau ako cholesterol aside from being overweight. π
I was a chubby kid too, and until now I am. I lose weight when we got married then gain those unwanted pounds again when I became pregnant. Since then I am having a hard time losing weight but i see to it na lang na I’m eating healthy foods and do some exercise. Hoping 2014 will be kinder year for me to lose weight hehe.
I’ve been ridiculously busy since the year started and eevn though I exercise, I need to do more and get back to my martial arts classes. Lets stick to it. I love Zumba too.

old photos are precious! i especially like the sepia color that is achieved through the years. i too would like to focus more or exercising. seemingly, work has always been pouring and i am forever grateful to our Lord and i’m trying real hard to sweat more by doing my gait exercises more frequently. good luck, sis!
Uy, Kat, how are you there in Butuan? We haven’t heard from you. My relatives in Butuan said they evacuated daw to a school. They’re safe, though. I hope you and your family are fine, too! God bless you!
We are safe, Maan. Thanks for asking. Will update later. Sorry to hear about your relatives. If you want me to check on them, email me their names and the name of the school they evacuated. I’ll try to check if the evacuation area is reachable from my end.
I wish I had a rubber or running shoes already to start our first step in running. For now, indoor exercises pa lang.
