There are so many photographers out there: both hobbyists and professionals. It can be a competitive world and it is quite challenging to find your place in the sun and stand out. Yet I know of people who enjoy photography just because they simply love it. They are undaunted by challenges and continue to push themselves to produce better work.
When it comes to photography, I always turn to my cousin, Bong, for help. He teaches me how to get better photos. I do not necessarily get it right all the time but he is still happy to share new things he learned. I often pester him with photography questions and even when I thought I have learned enough, he still has a lot of tricks up his sleeve which he generously shares with me. He takes awesome photos because he never stops learning.
Having passion at what you are interested in is great. However, it also takes courage to put your work out there for the world to judge. So I salute the brave souls like my cousin, Bong, for joining the photography competition by Getty Images.
I have a little request. Please click on the photos below. You will be directed to Getty Images. Click ‘like’ on the lower left corner. No need to register. Please leave a comment when you have done so so I can thank you properly.
I know you would agree with me that these are great photos. You won’t be sorry for clicking like. He is good. And if you live in Manila or Laguna area and need a great photographer, let me know. Photography is his hobby and he has a full-time job but who knows? He might be available to accommodate your request.
Thank you again. Let me leave you with this quote. In life, we should never be afraid to take chances.

Thanks, Maye! Oh, will write a blog post on the youtube videos that were helpful to me.
I agree, these are nice photos. I enjoy taking pictures also, but I don’t think I could go beyond being a hobbyist as far as photography goes. 🙂
Thanks, Patty!
Nice photos. Your photos are good too. Buti ka pa may coach. hehehe.
Like the photos by the way.
Thanks, Daddy Allan. Your photos are great, too. Maswerte ako na di madamot pinsan ko. But having no coach will work to your advantage, too. Walang nagininfluence sa art mo. You own it. 😀
I love the 1st image the best.. Kudos to your cousin for taking such great photos. I too am trying to improve my skills with photography.
That’s my favorite, too!

I love photography but considering the place where I am based now, taking photographs of landmarks are prohibited unless there is permission from the government…
Wow. Quite strict from where you are.
I love these photos. They are so dramatic and well-processed! 🙂 Keep it up! 🙂
Thanks, Jason. They are my cousin’s.
I love the last quote a lot – on the image! It’s so true, we never know ahead what wonderful things are waiting for us 🙂
amazing photos! liked them both already! hope he wins! but would that mean his photos will be stock images in the future? >XD
I really have not asked the details. I think he will receive royalties if his photos will be used.
I also love photography.. But hell yeah, I agree with you that it is difficult to stand out because there were so many professionals already.
A high class photography! Showing your talent to the world is a good way to inspire more photographers.
You have a very good mentor and the photos here looks great.
